The 700 Stars Twinkle Engine & Fibre Optic Harness & Generator Complete Kit is designed for customers who want a fuller and more immersive fibre optic star ceiling. With two harnesses included, this kit delivers a higher star count and broader coverage, making it a strong choice for ceilings that need more than the sparse look of lower-count alternatives. To keep the effect believable, the generator uses a rotating glass twinkle wheel rather than a simple on-off flash. This creates a more realistic blue and white fading star effect, with adjustable RPM so you can fine-tune the twinkle speed to suit the room. A built-in dimmer knob allows you to adjust brightness to suit the space, while the 10W generator provides more output for larger projects.

Install the light generator centrally within the ceiling cavity and connect it to a 240V power supply, ideally on a dedicated on/off switch. Avoid wiring the unit into the same circuit as your downlights, as that would require the downlights to stay on whenever the star ceiling is in use. To create the star field, drill 650 x 1 mm holes and 50 x 1.5 mm holes in the ceiling, then feed each strand through from above and distribute them randomly for a more natural result. For best visual impact, use a dark matte ceiling colour such as grey, dark blue, or black to reduce reflections and improve contrast.
